We meet again
A nod of the head in acknowledgement
"A sunbeam hit my eye; consciousness abolished"
My ears shattered, your words I could not grasp
Conversation subtle, for words we did not need
Your eyes a million shrieking winds by themselves
This is no disguise, despite what it seems
A smirk, a grin, never hid your sin
Not knowing, nor hiding your intentions
Guessing no more, you know as well as I
"Communication is rare for me; I'd rather you come find me'
Returned to your own life, and I to mine
I didn't get to see you turn your face away
Twilight fades near, the dawn I fear
You weren't even there
And you're gone
